Joan Ver Halen Borton
Joan has almost 20 years of diversified retail experience in strategic planning, brand development, promotions, customer awareness programs and general management. Before joining Stellar Marketing, Joan was the Director of Advertising and Promotions at Smart & Final for over 12 years. At Smart & Final she established a corporate promotional calendar, managed the in-house and ad agency creative and leveraged corporate and manufacture goals to attain sales objectives.
Joan has demonstrated leadership in partnering with internal teams and tactical initiatives to promote brand, visibility and guest experience for increase profitability and market share. Joan’s experience also includes Field Marketing during her time at Jack In The Box. She managed regional promotional opportunities along with individualized store plans to increase awareness, visits and attain regional sales goals. Joan graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/ Marketing.
